
YUVA Phase-1, a panel of 09 Project Implementing Agencies i.e. Training Partners (TPs) were finalized & approved by Delhi Police to impart skill-training in 24 Police Stations across Delhi to the target the beneficiaries. Delhi Police had engaged 17 Training Partners (T.Ps) for imparting the vocational skill training to total 13,700 candidates enrolled for 22 job roles out of which total 7,631 candidates (Male-4,669 and Female -2,962) received gainful employment, positively impacting their families and communities.
YUVA 2.0 Phase-I was launched on 17.12.2021 and it was funded by Vedanta Foundation through CSR funding in South District, Delhi. There was target to train 1,000 candidates and this training was started at Police Station ( Greater Kailash, Malviya Nagar, Saket and Ambedkar Nagar) for 02 job roles (Food & Beverage Services and Retail Sales Associates) and finally 890 candidates (Male-580, Female-310) completed their skill-training and total 750 candidates (male -510, female -240) were selected for jobs in various multinational companies. Under
YUVA 2.0 Phase-II total 14,348 candidates (Male-5893 & Female- 8455) were registered for skill training on the web-portal/SIP-portal of NSDC, out of which only 12,535 candidates successfully attended the training program at designated training centers located in 70 Police Stations across Delhi. After completion of the tenure of training, the assessment of these candidates has also completed and total 10,056 candidates (Male-3945 Female- 6085) have passed and certified for various job roles in this phase of training. In this phase of training, total 29 women from area of Kamla Market, Delhi were mobilized & motivated to join the skill training program in the job role of Make-Up Artist at training centre Pink Women Post, Shradhanand Marg, PS Kamla Market, Central District, Delhi out of which finally, 22 women successfully completed their skill training. These 22 women have also been given self defence training. After successful completion of training, these women were also provided Make-Up Kits through ‘NIESBUD’ keeping in view of additional handholding support in terms of their home-services & self-employment. In this phase, NIESBUD (National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development) has completed ToT (Trainer’s Training) Programme on Entrepreneurship for 194 Officers of Delhi Police for assisting the YUVA candidates/trainees and developing awareness among them with respect to entrepreneurship after completion of training of candidates under YUVA-2.0 Scheme of Delhi Police.
