'YUVA trainees' at Maharaja Agrasen College, Vashundhara Enclave, East District

On 02nd May, 2023 Perception Management & Media Cell (PM&MC) division of Delhi Police organized a “Mega Job Fair” for ‘YUVA trainees’ at Maharaja Agrasen College, Vashundhara Enclave, East District, Delhi in co-ordination with DCP/East District & the T.P M/s Step Ahead Foundation. About 1700 YUVA trainees of M/s Step Ahead Foundation and more than 30 multinational companies participated in the said job fair event in which total 1370 candidates were given Letter of Intent (LOI) and 300 candidates were given job offer letters by the companies.


"Job Fair" event for ‘YUVA trainees’ and also for ‘wards of Delhi Police

On 18th April, 2023 Perception Management & Media Cell (PM&MC) division of Delhi Police organized a “Job Fair” event for ‘YUVA trainees’ and also for ‘wards of Delhi Police personnel’ at Utsav Sadan, New Police Lines, Kingsway Camp, Delhi in co-ordination with DCP/North-West District. Total 243 job aspirants having minimum qualification of “Graduation” were interviewed by the employer out of which 188 candidates have been shortlisted by the employer who will go for final round interview to secure their job of ‘Digit Officer’ in one of the leading banks of India.


YUVA 2.0 scheme of Delhi Police. 78 candidates from 03 training centers

On 12th April, 2023 the training partner M/s Gramin Shiksha Pvt. Ltd. organized a job fair in premises of PS Saket, South District, New Delhi of all their YUVA candidates who had got skill-training under YUVA 2.0 scheme of Delhi Police. 78 candidates from 03 training centers of TP M/s Gramin Shikha Pvt. Ltd. participated in the job fair with 06 placement partners. Total 43 candidates were shortlisted for job roles like Data Entry, Retail Associate and General Duty Assistant.


"Mega Job Fair for YUVA Candidates" in Dwarka District

On 20th Feb, 2023 PM&MC Division organized a "Mega Job Fair for YUVA Candidates" in Dwarka District with motto to provide job opportunities to unprivileged youths. About 49 companies having more than 3500 vacancies for various posts participated in the Mega Job Fair to recruit YUVA trainees who had got skill-training under YUVA 2.0 scheme of Delhi Police. More than 1800 YUVA candidates from all 15 districts of Delhi participated in which about 1250 candidates were interviewed out of which 769 candidates where given Letter of Intent (LOI) during the job fair program. However, process of their joining is still in process.


The Trainer's Training Programme on Employability

To start the training under YUVA2.0 phase-II with National Institute of Entrepreneurship & small Business Development (NIESBUD) has given Training to Tutors of all 13 Training partners with YUVA 2.0 Phase-II.
It refers to the policies, procedures, and provision designed to equip teachers with the knowledge, attitudes, behaviors, and skills they require to perform their tasks effectively in the classroom, school, and wider community.
The Trainer's Training Programme on Employability, Entrepreneurship and Life Skills under YUVA Project 2.0 of Delhi Police was organized from 2-4 August 2022 for 18 participants, 2nd round of program was also organized from 22-24 Aug. 2022 for 43 participants.


Visit of Hon'ble L.G Delhi To YUVA center at Police Station - Greater Kailash, South District, Delhi.

Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Delhi Sh. Vinai Kumar Saxena and Worthy CP, Delhi Sh. Sanjay Arora, IPS visited the YUVA TRAINING CENTER at Police Station Greater Kailash-I. This YUVA Training Center has been established to provide a comprehensive training programme whereby youth from vulnerable groups are imparted training in the hospitality and retail sectors. The Hon’ble LG interacted and blessed the Yuva trainees and wished them all success for a bright future.
During the occasion, Sh. Sanjay Beniwal, Sp.CP/PMCC, Sh. Sagar Preet Hooda IPS, Spl C.P. (L & O), (Zone-II), Ms. Meenu Chowdhary, IPS Joint C.P. /Southern Range, Addl.CP Traffic and other police officers, members of civil society and Senior Citizens were also present


Delhi Police holds its first Commissionerate Day ceremonial parade

To mark its first Commissionerate Day, the Delhi Police held a ceremonial parade at the new Police Lines in Kingsway Camp Ground on Monday. Lieutenant-governor Vinai Kumar Saxena, who took the salute as chief guest, congratulated the medal winners and participants and said the Delhi Police has transformed itself over time and with its community policing initiatives.
It was for the first time that YUVAs participated in the Delhi Police ceremonial parade before Hon’ble L.G Sh. Vinai Kumar Saxena. Praising the YUVA 2.0 scheme, he said corporate sector has stepped up to provide the best possible career guidance and job opportunities to youth under the programme, in imparting skills training. Delhi Police has transformed itself with the passage of time and its community policing initiatives such as YUVA. Highlighting the initiatives planned in the coming years.


Yuva 2.0 Enrollments Fair to keep youth away from crime

YUVA 2.0 under the aegis of flagship community policing initiative of the Delhi Police 'YUVA' to try and keep the youth in the city away from crime. That from 08.06.2022 to 20.06.2022 a Enrollment fair was conducted in all the 15 districts from 06 June 2022 to 20 June 2022 by Delhi Police to select the youths in the age group of 17-25 years for imparting training to in following categories, mostly from the underprivileged section:-

DELHI POLICE INKS MOU WITH MSDE UNDER YUVA 2.0

Delhi Police held MoU Signing & Employment Offer Presentation Ceremony for YUVA 2.0 at Adarsh Auditorium, PHQ, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Delhi was the chief guest. Smt Chhaya Sharma, JtCP/EOW & Eastern Range and Shri Sandesh Tilekar, Director (Entrepreneurship), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), GoI signed and exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). YUVA 2.0 scheme aspires to provide vocational training to around 10,000 fresh candidates across 76 training Centers in all 15 Districts of Delhi, with active participation of corporate houses.


Shri Rakesh Asthana, CP, Delhi underlined that the YUVA program is meant to provide employment oriented skills to first time criminals, victims of crimes and those who have tendency to commit crime. It not only mirrors humane and compassionate face of Delhi Police, but also serves the prime objective of policing i.e. prevention of crime. It gives immense pleasure to share is that 10,000 youth are proposed to be trained with new technical and digital courses including Artificial Intelligence, Cyber world during the scheme of YUVA 2.0, the CP said. The successful job getters were advised to keep enhancing new skills in changing dynamics and empower themselves with expertise.
